Zion National Park
Alpine Forest
An alpine forest biome is mostly forest. In these forests, trees that are able to survive cold weather grow. For example, pine trees.
Desert
A desert is mostly filled with rocks and sand, with very little plantlife. The plants that do grow there, however, have adapted to be able to survive long periods of time without rain.
Riparian
A riparian biome is usually considered wetlands. They are located by rivers, and as a result, have more organisms that are adapted to aquatic life. The plants that grow there are lush and green, in large contrast to the ones that grow in desert biomes.
Semi-Arid Desert
A semi-arid desert has more plant life than a regular desert, but is still dotted with rocks and sand. It's not as hot as a desert, but can still reach high temperatures.
